If you're wanting a dry brush experience, then definitely do it before hopping in the shower. I always have used this mit in the shower though with a bar of soap. Let the soap lather up and the mit will give you a nice exfoliation!
Let the mit air dry between uses - you can even put it in your washing machine if you'd like and let it air dry so it doesn't shrink up too much!
